In the fall of 2007, Chef Dan McGee opened the doors to his casual, yet elegant, neighborhood restaurant that features urban, contemporary décor. The words ‘casual yet elegant’ serve to describe not only his restaurant, but also his cuisine. Chef Dan enlivens these traditional American dishes with unique twists, creating a culinary experience to remember.
Chef Dan developed his skills at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. His experience includes the L'Hotel Crillion in Paris, La Plaza Hotel in Switzerland, Swissôtel in Lima, Peru. After working throughout the United States (New York, Florida, and California), he returned to Chicago to the Park Hyatt, Charlie Trotters, Hotel Nikko, The Mid-America Club, and Swissôtel in Chicago before opening Dan McGee Restaurant.
